On Saturday the ILCA 6 fought the three sleeves planned with strong north-east wind and wave of about 2 meters, therefore, a day where the state of shape was a very important factor.

Fernando Alonso, was the fastest in the fleet in the three contested sleeves and was placed at the front of the classification table. The second position of the day was for Bruno González, first in different phases of the sleeves, at the end, two seconds and a third place were noted. In the third square the Santanderino del Náutico de Laredo, Carlos Casanueva, was placed with a third and two rooms.

On Sunday an intense fog in the race field delayed the start of the day about two hours. Thanks to a Northeast with 18-kt tips that broke into the bay and dissipated the fog, two sleeves could be held, on this occasion with the three classes in the water.

In ILCA 6, Fernando Alonso, who left with a clear advantage, won the second manga and was second in the first, proclaiming himself just the champion of Asturias. The subchampionship was won by Bruno González, the second Asturian in the general and third in the qualifying table, closing the Rene Velázquez podium posts, three points from Bruno. For his part, Carlos Casanueva obtained the second place in the combined general.

The Optimist who sailed two sleeves on Sunday, the winner in both of them was Alvaro Alonso rising to the top of the drawer. The second place was won by Gonzalo Jaudenos winning in 2019, followed by, Aida Marqués who ended up in third place in the two races.

As for the RS Feva, Covadonga Fernández and Carmen Simal did not give their rivals any options and with two first they stood up with the championship, followed by Marta Suárez and Alfonso Fernández seconds in the two trials. The bronze was for the couple, Marta Durán and Carmen Ayuela.

During the next weekend the Championships of Asturias of the classes will be held in Gijón: Optimist, ILCA 6 and FEVA the competition is run by the Real Club Astur de Regatas.

On Saturday and Sunday, Gijón Bay hosts three light sailing Asturias championships... on this occasion, the Optimist, ILCA 6 and FEVA, several of the boats chosen by the School of Sailing of the Gijón Regatta Club to train their students, will be the protagonists of the weekend.

At 12.30 p.m. on Saturday, the competition will start, with four sleeves, two sleeves per day... being an indispensable condition to complete at least one sleeve to give validity to the Championship.
