The figure of Zulema Prado is, of course, essential to the history of the Galician candle in recent decades... both as a shipowner, as an organizer and as a dynamizer of great events and nautical projects of plating. In the image he received a award from the European Brotherhood in 2019

The Grand Master of the European Brotherhood of Sailing Francisco Quiroga Martínez has appointed our President Lady Honorary of the Brotherhood... this is the text of the appointment:

"I am pleased to inform you that the Table of the European Brotherhood of Vela, at its meeting held on January 25, 2021, by electronic means on the proposal of Mr Francisco Quiroga and Mr Jorge Mallo, unanimously agreed to appoint you as Lady number of it. The inauguration of the new Cofrades will take place in a solemn event on October 5, 2021 at the National Parador of the Costa da Morte. As the Grand Master of the Brotherhood, and in his name, I welcome you and wish you to find among us a space between which to share our common commitment to the sea and the nautical and what we value most, the fellowship and friendship generated over many years of cultivating them."

Zulema Prado, has on numerous occasions carried out relevant works in the world of international sailing... case of the press secretariat of the Spain Cup America Challenge 1992, the World Offshore Championship organized by the Yacht Club of Monaco and in which the missing Stephano Casiraghi, several World Championships organized by the Mount Real Club of Yates of Baiona, the Prince of Astorias- SAR D.Felipe of Borbon and Greece from 1986 to 1998, Trofeos Conde Gondomar, Regata Vuelta a España (March 2008), and the National of the National of the City of San Salvador (March 2008) (March 2008).

It has been co-shipowner of ships like the Bombay Gin saga, the Galicia Star, the Larsa... to cite three examples. He's been the owner of a 20-boat race.

As president of the Vigo Maritime Club, he has organized a European Master's Laser Championship, numerous Iberian Cups and Spanish Championships... as well as the Abanca Week (from its birth to the present) and most recently the Gold River Race, which has been the longest race in the history of European Pyragüism with its 100 Km.

As well as rowing races, in which he has collaborated as the Open of Nations, Spanish Championship, King's Cup... or even horse events, at the highest national and international level.

At the business level, he is a partner of several nautical cutting companies, including the Nautica Digital portal, which is of great importance in the sector today.

The appointment will be given to you at the annual ceremony of the Brotherhood, on October 5 at the Parador da Costa da Morte.
