Jaiver Seguí proclaims European subchampion Sub 19 of ILCA 6 in Croatia

The national expedition, consisting of members of the National Plan for Sports Tecnification of the Royal Spanish Vela Federation, has been represented in Kastela, Croatia, by six boys and six girls and has been led by coaches Lucía Reyes and Juan Antonio Gomariz

Javier Seguí del Real Club Náutico Port de Pollença, has been proclaimed today, Saturday, July 3, subchampion of Europe Sub 19 of class ILCA 6 in the continental championship disputed in Croatia. To the achievement of Seguí are added the silver medal in female category Sub 17 of Marga Perelló (CN Estanyol) and the male bronze Sub 17 of David Ponsetí (CN Ciutadella).

The Majorcan regatist Javier Seguí has been the most outstanding Spanish and has finished the competition in the second position of the final general classification, being overcome only by the Italian Mattia Cesana, the absolute winner and Sub 17 of the European Championship of ILCA 6. For his part, the Menorquin David Ponseti has obtained the bronze in category Sub 17 and has ended at place 13 of the absolute table. Rafael Lora (22), Marcos Altarriba (24), Manuel García (35) and Mariano Cebrián (43) have also competed.

In the female category, the Marga Perelló ballast, seventeenth in the general category, has obtained the title of subchampion of Europe Sub 17. In this class, female participation has been very prominent with Gemma Llamas in position 14, Miriam Nicolau in 19 and María Martínez in 20. In addition, Carla Paoli has been twenty-fifth and Elba Martínez has closed her participation in the continental race at position 45.
