Four winners of the four Pro Sailing Tour tests in Las Palmas

The first day of coastal regatta of the Pro Sailing Tour in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria has turned the popular beach of Las Canteras into a spectacular natural stadium... spectators have been able to see the seven trimarans Ocean Fifty competing a few meters from the Arenal and four teams have spread the victories in the four trials held. After the 24 Hours Challenge held on Thursday and Friday, the Ocean Five fleet was now passing coastal in the waters of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. The session was resolved with four different sleeves and four winners, confirming the equality between the fleet and raising the emotion face to tomorrow, when the champion of this third episode of the Pro Sailing Tour will be met.
The fleet went out into the water with light breezes and began the day with a first test that left San Cristóbal, surrounded La Isleta and entered the Bay of Confital to take a beacon in El Camello before finishing theoretically in front of the beach of Las Canteras. But the dramatic fall of the wind caused the goal to finally be fixed in El Camello. After a slow-motion finish, the first partial victory of the day was the Solidaires in Peloton- Arsep of Thibaut Cauchel- Camus, ahead of Arkema 4 and Ciella Village.
The second test turned the beach of Las Canteras into a natural stadium. The audience that covered the Arenal on this first Saturday of July was able to see the unpublished image of the trimarans evolving behind the popular Barra. The tour between buoys was located in perpendicular to the beach, hosting the holding of two tests in barlovento / sotavento format.
The day was completed with a coastal tour from Las Canteras to San Cristóbal, this time with better wind conditions than in the morning. After a little more than an hour of competition, the victory corresponded to the Primary of Sébastien Rogues, closing the provisional with four partial winners in the four contested sleeves, a whole sample of the equality between the Ocean Five fleet.
The sum of the five partials so far keeps the Leyton in front of the provisional of this third episode of the Pro Sailing Tour, with six points of advantage over the Ciella Village. Sam Goodchild's team makes good his victory at the 24-hour Challenge, which scores with triple coefficient.
The competition returns tomorrow Sunday, the last day of Episode 3. The Regata Committee has designed a program of up to five short tests with a similar configuration to today's, and the seven Ocean Five will again compete on the spectacular scene of the Confital Bay.
The Pro Sailing Tour model includes guests on board the Ocean Five in the coastal races. Tomorrow, the first-person experience will be enjoyed by the Canarian Olympic Champions Luis Doreto (470 gold in Los Angeles 1984 and Flying Dutchman in Barcelona 1992) and Domingo Manrique (Flying Dutchman gold in Barcelona 1992). Both will sail on board Leyton and Arkema 4, the ship in which local crew member Alejandro Cantero competes.
