The Galician Antía Jácome, in C1 200 meters, has today won the last outstanding square of the Spanish Piragüismo team that will compete in the JJOO, after being imposed on the Madricala María Corbera in the national selective, held at the Pontevedrés David Cal sports complex in Verducido.

Piragüismo, the Spanish sport that achieved the most medals in Rio 2016, faces Tokyo with expectations of achieving several medals, with 11 palists classified in esprint, and 4 in slalon.
The selection is made up of: Saul Craviotto, Marcus Cooper Walz, Carlos Arévalo and Rodrigo Germade (K4 500); Paco Cubelos and Iñigo Peña (K2 1,000); Teresa Portela (K1 200); Isabel Contreras (K1 500); Tano García and Pablo Martínez (C2 1,000) and Antana Otero (C1 200) in esprint, and Maialen Chourraut and David Llorente (K1) and Nòria Vilarubla and Ander Elosegi (C1).

Jácome, belonging to the City of Pontevedra, and Corbera, of the Piragüismo Aranjuez School, have fused into a long embrace at the end of the second race, in which the Galician has been imposed on a very equal arrival. Two hours earlier he also took the triumph, on that occasion with greater difference.
