Marina Cambrils is a pioneering model in Catalonia that is part of the strategic lines of the Horizon 2030 Port Plan and could be extended to other Catalan ports in the coming times. This charter management model aims to increase the nautical activity and, as a result, also to energize the tissue directly or indirectly linked to this

The Port of Cambrils already has a new port infrastructure aimed at the dynamic of the nautical tourism and the nautical base. This is a multi-service proposal that allows a lot of activities at sea for all types of users, such as boat rental, sports practice and other nautical recreational activities.

The new marina, which wants to be a reference point on the Catalan coast, offers various formulas that will allow the "deparking" of tourism, socialization and the drive of nautical. A change of orientation that invites the citizens of the territory to live face to sea, participating in nautical life, with a model fully linked to the rental of ships (nautical charter) and the contracting of services by use, and not so much to the property of mooring and boat.

The new facilities, a floating dársena made up of 45 moorings that accommodate different types of boats up to 15 meters in length and a complete service centre located in three light wood modules, provide for the attraction of up to 30,000 users. This will generate 50 jobs and boost the city's economy, highlighting trade and restoration. The economic impact of the users of the new charter marina is estimated to be up to EUR 37 million indirectly for the territory.

This centre of water services, which is fully framed in the strategic lines of the Horizon 2030 Port Plan, has involved an investment of 535,000 €and is the result of a public competition driven by Ports of the Generalitat that has in concession BeCharter for a period of 15 years, company that is part of the Cambodian group Hermanos Guasch. The CEO of this, Rodolf Guasch, explains that "we are facing the opportunity to transform Cambrils into a unique tourist attraction pole on the Catalan coast by placing ourselves, thanks to the diversification of services, online to other European destinations of first level."
