A final day with idyllic navigation conditions closed today the historic 25th edition of the Superyacht Cup Palma with a debutante hoarding all the headlines

Today the emotion was evident in the face of all the members of the fleet, but especially in the crew of the two vending ships of classes A and B, Nilaya and Ravenger, with the latter declaring itself the absolute champion of the Superyacht Cup Palma 2021 during the trophy delivery held at the Royal Nautical Club of Palma.

The 43-meter-long vessel, Ravenger, debuted in the Mallorcan test, achieving three wins in the three contested tests, despite not having a competition pedigree and limited joint training of the crew.

Ravenger was the first in the Class B podium with Ganesha and Baiurdo VI, with Scorpione of London and Aquarius completing the classification.

Meanwhile, the long and elegant Nilaya also took three wins on its way to the top of Class A, yet losing the general one by being competing in a slightly less numerous class.

The idyllic conditions of navigation have again been the perfect stage for the second day of the races of the Superyacht Cup Palma, in which some members of the fleet have been able to consolidate their position, others improve it and all enjoy the great navigation

Taking full advantage of the conditions, the regatta address of the Royal Nautical Club today offered different tours for the two classes of the New Zealand Race Day, the second day of this 25th anniversary of the test.

After a brief postponement, the four Class A participants were sent to take the New Zealand buoy, after which they would travel a long stretch of coast to another mark located right next to the small port of Sa Rápita, about 30 kilometres south-east of Palma.

Meanwhile, the five Class B contenders faced a more compact five-section tour in Palma Bay, where the 46-meter debuting Ravenger repeated his victory yesterday, being first in real time and being made with the general victory after the application of the sophisticated compensation system, which allows to compete with each other to superyachts of different design, weight, size and speed.

The small Baiurdo VI balander, designed by Giles Vaton, raised a position on the table, leaving second, and leaving Ganesha in third place, perhaps helped by the fact that his rival has been blown up by one of his spinnakers.

Also in Class B, the Scorpione of London, one of the three largest superyachts, with 46 meters in length, has also been able to improve its brand yesterday, overcoming its equally imposing rival Aquarius.

In Class A, with a longer journey, the results have been identical to those of the inaugural day, with Nilaya getting a new victory ahead of Missy and Shamanna, who entered with only a few seconds of difference in the finish line, starring in an intense duel and with the smallest ship in the fleet, Umiko, again occupying the fourth place.

However, the Superyacht Cup Palma is not just about classification, as Umiko's crew, Helena Lucas, a British Paralympic regatist who won a gold medal in class 2.4mR at the London Games in 2012, claimed.

The competition continues tomorrow Saturday in which it will be the final and decisive day of this historic Superyacht Cup Palma 2021.

The Pantaneius Race Day gives the starting pistolet for the 25th anniversary of the Majorcan race

The Superyacht Cup Palma today opened the competition for its 25th anniversary, an expected return of this classic of the Mallorcan waters. The Pantaenius Race Day has been the inaugural test of the race, which has been the winner of Nilaya in Class A and Ravenger in Class B, the two classes in which the fleet of nine vessels participating in the test has been divided.

The longest superyacht race in Europe welcomes some of the most spectacular ships in the world to measure forces in the Bay of Palma. The fleet that participates in this edition, ships between 24 and 47 meters long, has a combination of veterans of the test and debuts eager to enjoy the famous environment and the competitive sleeves that have made this race famous.

The Superyacht Cup Palma celebrates its twenty-fifth anniversary from today until Saturday, June 26, an expected return of this classic of the Mallorcan waters that has been perfectly adapted to comply with all the sanitary measures.

The iconic Real Club Nautico de Palma, located in the heart of the island capital, is the new ground seat of the event, while the soul of the test, in the sea, receives a magnificent fleet of nine superyachts ready to star in three days of intense competition with the unparalleled conditions of the Bay of Palma.

The fleet, divided into two classes, has a combination of veterans of the test and debuts eager to enjoy the famous environment and the competitive sleeves that have made famous this race that is celebrated in the cradle of the navigation of Mediterranean superyachts.

In Class A, the elegant 34-meter Nilaya of the Baltic Yachts shipyard, one of the Superyacht Cup's collaborators, joins another known old trial, the always competitive Missy, 33-meter. Both will face two new additions of the Superyacht Cup Palma, the two designed by Frers and built by Nauthor's Swan: the powerful 35-meter Shamanna and Umiko, a 25-meter-long unit that is an impressive example of the range of high-performance Swan 80 cruise.

The elegant and discreet Missy will seek to continue where he left off, with a victory in his last participation in the race in 2019.

Another debutante, Ravenger (ex Sea Eagle), 43 meters long, is eager to join the action in Class B. There you will face the light and maneuverable 35-meter balander Baiurdo VI and a threesome of 46-meter-long veterans: Aquarius, from Perini Navi, the largest of the participants of the Superyacht Cup Palma; Scorpione of London, another of the Baltic Yachts units that participated in the Corinthian class in 2018; and Ganesha, built - like Missy - by Vitters Shipyard, one of the Silver Partners of the test.

Ganesha is already a regular of the Superyacht Cup Palma, and its captain, Alex Pamment, hopes to renew the good relationship of this balander with the Bay of Palma.
