Ten ships from three nautical clubs met in Torrevieja to compete for the title, including the best specialists in the light sailing class Flying Dutchman

The Spanish Cup of the Flying Dutchman class was held in the waters of the Valencian Community, organized by the Royal Nautical Club of the Old Tower, before the World Cup of the Class to be held in the Bay of Altea from 4 to 11 September 2021.

It was anticipated that three intense days of race, where meteorology has played a bad role, because the lack of wind caused three sleeves to be held on the first day, in the same way on the second day, once again for lack of wind, only two of the sleeves planned, and took the regatists on the last day where three other sleeves were held before the award ceremony.

The race was finally closed with eight disputed tests of the nine scheduled.
