The Galician Noa Díaz del Monaña Quixós de Monforte de Lemos, in cadet category, and the Catalan Alan Padilla, in senior, have today been proclaimed three-fold Spanish champions, achieving three medals each in the National Brave Water Declation Championship in the Esprint and Classic mode.
The Canal de Aguas Braves de Sabero- Alejico, in León, has hosted this weekend the competition, which has brought together 150 piragüistas belonging to 14 cadet, júnior, senior and veteran clubs, whose tests have served to test the renewed installation that will host the European Championship, to fight from 12 to 15 next August.
The palist Noa Díaz, of the team Montaña Quixós, has achieved her three gold medals in cadet in K1 and C1 in Esprint and in K1 Classic while Alan Padilla, of the Sícoris club, has obtained them in senior in C1 and C2 in Esprint and in C1 Classic.

2021 / 06 / 18: Spanish Championship in El Canal de Aguas Braves de Sabero in León this weekend

The Canal de Aguas Braves de Sabero- Alejico, in León, will host this weekend the Spanish Championship of this specialty, whose competition will serve as a test to test the renewed installation that will host the European Championship, to be held from 12 to 15 next August.
A total of 150 piragüists from 14 clubs in different categories will take part in the Spanish Championship of Brave Waters in Classic and Esprint.
The improvement works carried out on the Sabero- Alejico slalon channel allow this equipment to show the potential to become a national and international reference area, in which it will be launched by hosting the European.
Among the actions carried out in the Spanish-Latvian installation are the recovery of margins, the construction of a gateway and the empowerment of an electric line.
The economic contribution of the Ministry of Culture and Sport, the Higher Council of Sports, the City of Sabero, the Diputación de León and the Junta de Castilla y León, with a total amount of 200,000 euros, has made the Canal of Aguas Braves Sabero-Alejico a reality, taking advantage of the waters of the River Esla as it passes through the eastern mountain of Leonese.
The conditions of this scenario will allow in the future to enhance the specialities of the decline of slalon, brava water, free style and slalon cross, the latest new recently incorporated into the Olympic program.
