It was presented at the Palacete de las Mendoza by the hand of the Receptación de Pontevedra, the first edition of the call to be the race referring to international level between the competitions of great marathon in pyragüism: the Gold River Race Xacobeo 21-22 that organizes the Club Marítimo de Vigo, the Club de Piragüismo Olívico, the Club Marímo de Canido and the Liceo Marítimo, with the support of the river clubs of Lugo, O Barco and Avión, the Quixós de Monforte, and the School of Spanish Sports, as well as the Pitrüto del Pírüismo, as the Pírüto de la Este, and the Píraguismo Nacional de la Pírüto, as the Pímanismo, as the Spanish National Council of the Spanish National Federation, and the Spanish National Sports.

The message sent by the president of the Organizing Committee, Francisco Bobadilla, was clear: we are being supported by all the institutions we have asked for support, from a different political sign... for this unique event that aims to make history and commemorates the birth of Galicia within Rome, in the time of Augustus. The Gold River Race comes to stay, and wants to have a great sport and that at the same time is a quality tourism engine for the interior Galicia.

After Bobadilla, a plethoric Alfredo Bea, president of the Galician of Piragüismo, introduced to those who are theoretically the favorites: the three-time world champion and five of Europe the tudense Ivan Alonso, who will compete in his K2 with the pontevedrés Joaquín Iglesias, who has recently been proclaimed champion of Spain.

They completed the turn of the word Carmen Fernández for Abanca that sponsors the women's awards, Román Pereiro for Xacobeo that does it with the absolute and finally closed the Gorka Gómez event on behalf of the Pontevedra Recession, who congratulated those who carry the organizational regret, and I do not hide like his predecessors, that it is a great event that must have long life and that will be supported from the Recession.

The Gold River Race Xacobeo 21-22 will be held on 25 and 27 June, with 100 kilometres distributed in three stages... between the conjels of Quiroga (Lugo) and Salvatorio de Miño (Pontevedra), also preaching for those of Monforte de Lemos, Sober, Nogueira de Ramuín, A Peroxa, Ourense, Toen, Cenlle, Castrelo de Miño, Crecente, Arbo as and Neves.

The competition is officially considered as the race of great maraton of the longest of those held to date in Europe.... It is reserved for the boats: K2 and C2, in both male and female category... on the horizon in the medium term to overcome the legendary South African or South American; case of the mythical Regata of the Río Negro of Argentina... that currently has the vitola of being the longest in the world...
