The Copa de España Optimist Aguas Interias already have new champions. The two of the Community of Madrid: Alba Moreno, sailing the CR Madrid, and Joaquín Peralta, of the RCN Madrid. A meeting organized by the RCN of Madrid and the collaboration of the Federation Madricala de Vela, starting last Friday and concluding today in the reservoir of San Juan, being able to bring together 45 regatists from various autonomous communities: Cantabria, Euskadi and Catalonia, by invitation and not opting for the national title, and Navarra and Community of Madrid that did enter into the struggle for the Spanish cup.
Good general wind conditions, being able to complete a total of 8 tests out of 9 planned and in which Alba Moreno has had no rival, although its start in the reservoir was not promising because it could not complete the first championship test, DNF. In the following he has shown his high level by alternating the first and second square, with the exception of the 7th test in which he signed an 8th place. With this, the madrileña, concludes in the first square of the absolute general and first fema with 19 points, after a discard.
Joaquín Peralta, for its part, is made with the title of champion of the Spanish Cup, as it ends in the second square of the absolute general so in addition to imposing in its category SUB11 it does so in the SUB13, the two categories in liza. Peralta has remained only 3 points from Moreno, with a good regularity in general lines, highlighting in his locker three partial wins, tests 4-5 and 8.
As a 'open' race with two invited autonomy, the absolute general in SUB16 has closed with Luma Altube (CN Hondarribia) and Ignacio del Villar (CN San Ramón) who have accompanied Alba Moreno. While in SUB13, and next to Peralta, Felix Ramós (CN Vilanova) and Miguel Martínez del Villlar (CN San Ramón) have been placed. As for the SUB11, the three squares, in addition to Peralta, have been classified Pedro Lomba and Teresa Gómez, both of the RCM Santander.
The award of trophies, held in the Madrid RCN, was attended by Guillermo Poyán, president of FEMAVE, accompanied by his vice-president: José María Martín Puertas, as well as Cristóbal Carrasco, president of the Madrid RCN and David Peralta, Comodoro del club madrileño.
