The Real Club Náutico de Valencia closed on Sunday one of its first major appointments in its Fisheries Section, with the Contest of Costa Trofeo Andel 68 mixed mode, with the collaboration of the firms Quinter Pesca and Colmic. A competition that was successful in bringing together 45 fishermen in the Club's' fishing ', including the new section that opened last October. Within the same bases, it was established that the catches of all fishermen were donated to families in need in Valencia.
The day was set off at 7 a.m., with the drawing of the seats at the RCNV's fishing headquarters. At 8 a.m. the contest was started with a calm sea and light breeze The first period of competition was over 10 a.m. and resumed at 10.45 a.m. and ended at 1 p.m.
The basis of the competition was established on the main piece and a prize for the maximum weight of all catches, thus providing for the four awards of the contest. After the count and weighing of José Romero, with a piece of 352 g., was made with the first place, while Silvino Cava achieved the second square with a weight of 260 g. followed by Benjamin Vélez and a piece that reached the 187 g. As for the total catch weight, Cava was first with 986 g., so the maximum weight trophy was for the second of the table in this category: Miguel Ángel Bermudez, with 677 g.
