Carmen Elite Sails and Fandango first inscriptions of the Tembra Vela de Alicante
The twenty-fifth edition of the Tabarca-Vela Diputación de Alicante begins its way for the great sailing party at the Real Club de Regatas de Alicante, which will take place between 8 and 11 July, and does so with the official opening in the section of the inscriptions. A start that has not been able to have better protagonist, as the first inscribed is one of the great favorites in the Tenca.
El Carmen Elite Sails based in Cartagena, armed by José Coello, has been one of the first to formalize the registration in the Alicantine race. Coello's Synergy 40 already knows what it's like to step on the podium at the Regatas Club. In the 2018 edition he signed a second working square, behind the Torreviejense Maverta, in the competitive class ORC 2.
In the last disputed edition of 2019, since 2020 could not be celebrated for the health situation, the Coello ship achieved the triumph in ORC 2, although it concluded tied 7.5 points with the April Fish, a Swan 42 by José Mª Messeguer in ORC 1, class that I pass to be framed with the ORC 2 fleet, so the cartagJanuary and with the individual results obtained by the two ships, the balance was inclined in favour of the children of Messeguer.
This 2021, and with the new 'cutting system' according to the classes according to its rating certificate, El Carmen Elite Sails is now in another very competitive group that has always offered a lot of level and spectacularity as is the ORC 3.
This start in the registration chapter also contains two large units. On the one hand, the Tanit IV Medilevel, by Mª José Vila and on the other, the CartagJanuary Fandango 300 by Francisco Javier Sabiote.
The first of them represents the RCR of Alicante and is the current world champion in Corinthian class (non-professional), as well as being autonomous champions in ORC 3. Vila's Gran Soleil 37 knows what it is to win the Tenca as there have been many "Tenca 'editions in which the Alicantino has occupied one of the three podium squares. The CartagJanuary of Sabiote, an Archambault 40RC, has always achieved good results and in Alicante is one of the firm seekers to be in the top positions in class ORC 3.
