The Royal Nautical Club of Valencia held this afternoon the closing ceremony of the Spanish Cup of Catamaranes, after having taken place the last day with harsh conditions of wind and sea: 23 knots of wind and waves of two meters, with plenty of rain.
The Valencian Toni Ballester (RCN Valencia) began the day under enormous pressure in the Class A, since it had a small advantage and knowing the hard conditions in the race field. The only evidence that could be completed, Ballester signs a second place, while his direct rival and club partner, Rafa González scored second partial win, insufficient to take the title from his partner. The bronze has been for another host club regatist, Abdon Ibáñez, who, like the rest of the fleet, has not been able to complete the test.
The F18 have been blank, the results being valid in the previous two days after completing a total of 7 tests. Toni Rivas and Jordi Sánchez (CN Garraf) are made with the Spanish Cup with a total of 13 points, highlighting in their locker two partial wins. Silver for Fabián Migoya and Alberto Torné (CN Vilanova), with only three points of difference, while bronze has been for Mitch and Rita Booth (CV Palamós), with 14 points.
The tandem Marc Jovani and Marta Porta (CN Culera) take the Spanish Cup to Culera. This class has also not been able to compete and with 6 closed tests, of the 9 planned, they rise with the title, achieving 5 points after taking off their worst partial in their locker. The second position travels to the Denia RCN from the hand of Jacobo Miquel and Arnau Muñoz (Denia RCN), with 11 points. The bronze has been for the current Spanish champions: Juan Antonio (CR Pobla Marina) and Tono Llabrés (RCN Valencia), with 14 points.
With regard to the Interseries, also with 7 completed tests, the Catalans Marc Verdaguer and Lluïsa Puig (CN L'Pesca) have imposed their law in Valencia achieving full, with 7 wins over 7 completed tests. After discard, the Catalan tandem, they add up to 6 points. With 12 in his locker, Alfredo Bernard (CN Vilassar de Mar) has been placed, completing the podium Joan Carles Tonisastre (CM Montgat) and Alex Collins (CV Palamós), with 20 points in their existence.

The excitement of the Spanish Cup of Catamaranes is served. After closing the second day in the waters of Valencia, the differences in the upper part are minimal being the result and general tonic in all classes, so as the classification is so tight and the discard plays an important role, it makes it impossible to know until tomorrow which new champions will be.
Discard and two good partials allow the Valencian Toni Ballester (RCN Valencia) to remain leader of Class A. Ballester has not had a good start in this second by marking a sixteenth place in the first test of the day, then he has arranged it with 2-3 partials. This allows you to add 10 points.
The provisional silver is for his club partner: Abdon Ibáñez, who has been much more successful today, with numbers of 2-4-2, which allow him to climb on the board and stay only 4 points from the leader. Something further has been located Manuel Calavia (RCM Barcelona), despite having shone today in Valencia with three partial wins. The Catalan adds 17 points in his locker.
Toni Rivas and Jordi Sánchez (CN Garraf) have given an important, not definitive, step in their goal of conquering the Spanish Cup. In this second day they have maintained the type and with three second positions, plus the discard, it allows them to continue to command in the F18 with 8 points, only 2 of advantage over Fabián Migoya and Alberto Torné (CN Vilanova), who have today signed a results of 1-3-3, totaling 10 points in total.
The provisional bronze is for Mitch and Rita Booth (CV Palamós), who have options to go up above, as they have 13 points after recording today numbers of 3-1-5, in the absence of a day and three planned tests.
The tandem Marc Jovani and Marta Porta (CN Cullera) have everything in favor to achieve the Spanish Cup, they depend on themselves as their advantage is small but important. After achieving in this second delivery three partial wins, together with yesterday's results and taking off their worst partial, are left with 5 points, 6 of the second of the table: Jacobo Miquel and Arnau Muñoz (RCN Denia) that have 11 points. Bronze for Juan Antonio (CR Pobla Marina) and Tono Llabrés (RCN Valencia), with 14 points.
The Catalans Marc Verdaguer and Lluïsa Puig (CN L'Pesca) have had no problem in re-imposing their law in the Gulf of Valencia. Three new partial wins, together with those of yesterday, make full, six out of six, with a slight advantage of 6 points on the second, Alfred Bernard (CN Vilassar de Mar), while the bronze Joan Carles Tonisastre (CM Montgat) and Alex Collins (CV Palamós), having 13 points in their existence.
For the third and last day of the Spanish Cup, where much excitement is expected given the current results, with small differences and with options for changes in the three podium squares in the respective classes.
