Oliver Design's Hito by delivering four major projects in a four-year period

The company has completed the design and indoors of a state-of-the-art fishing, two ferries - the first for Baleària and the second for French Polynesia - and an auxiliary boat to a superluxury yacht
Oliver Desing, a company specializing in naval design and architecture based in the city of Getxo, has achieved a milestone in its 30 years of trajectory with the delivery of four relevant naval projects in the first four months of the year. They are also four vessels of very varied type, but they will constitute references in their respective areas of activity, including from fishing to passenger transport, through the superluxury segment, and they have already begun to operate or are about to do so in scenarios as varied as the Norwegian fjords, the South Seas or the Mediterranean.
The Spanish company has completed between January and April the design and interior rating of a state-of-the-art fishing, two ferries - the first for Baleària and the second for French Polynesia - and an auxiliary boat to a superluxury yacht. Its construction has been carried out in many other shipyards of the Cantabria cornice: Vigo (Pontevedra), Burela (Lugo), Gijón (Asturias) and Erandio (Vizcaya).
The firm founded by the naval engineer Jaime Oliver in 1990 has thus achieved its highest level of activity in three decades precisely in 2020, the year marked by the coronavirus pandemic. The four recently completed projects have involved about 95,000 hours of accumulated work, most of them in the second half of last year.
