For The Tanit IV Medilevel and the Dax, the Centenary Trophy Against Cancer in Alicante

José María Guerras, vice-president of the Real Club de Regatas de Alicante, and Pablo Enríquez, president of the Association of Alicante for the Fight against Cancer, were present at the trophy ceremony. Both of them valued the collaboration initiated between the two entities and welcomed the collection obtained during the various actions that were carried out in the framework of this traditional trophy... the funds will be used to continue with the work of dissemination and, above all, to accompany the oncological patients and their families.

The Tanit IV Medilevel alicantine ships of María José Vila, with Nacho Campos as Patron, and the Dax of Sergio Durá, have been the victors of the Centenary Anti-Cancer Trophy, in the categories ORC A and ORC B respectively.

The Centenary Alicante Trophy has had the participation of 15 boats, who have competed in a race of Sela de Crucero in solidarity. During the two days in which the petitional tables were set up at the Real Club de Regatas de Alicante, a total of 1,734,53 €were collected, for the full purpose of the Alicante Association for the Fight against Cancer.

The second and final day held on Sunday was marked by the wind roll, which changed direction up to 3 times, forcing the committee to cancel the race once the departure. Subsequently, a second exit made it possible for the vessels to complete the course of the test. The weekend has been marked by a capricious wind that did not meet the forecasts of an average-intensity Levant wind, sufficient for the testing planned by the committee.

In both races, both Saturday and Sunday, it was the Plis Play, by Vicente García, who crossed the starting line in the first place and with some advantage over the second, the Spaniard. In spite of this, the Tanit IV Medilevel, by María José Vila, with Nacho Campos as the patron, rose with the honor of the competition in ORC A. In the category ORC B it was the alicantino Dax, of the shipowner Sergio Durá, who got the gold of the category.

Al Tanit IV was followed by the ship Spaniard of Juan Rodríguez, who obtained the silver of the competition, leaving the bronze for the torreviejense Maverta of Pedro Gil. In ORC B, it was the No Te Nom of Francisco Vila who collected the silver trophy, followed by the MK III of Rafael Moran.
