El contexto sanitario y el aplazamiento de la salida han llevado al Comité de Regatas de La Ruta de la Sal a establecer un tope máximo de 100 embarcaciones que podrán participar en la próxima edición de la regata

The health context and the postponement of the departure have led the Committee of Regatas de La Ruta de la Sal to establish a maximum of 100 vessels that can participate in the next edition of the race

The traditional exits from Port Ginesta in Barcelona and from the Royal Nautical Club of Denia are maintained, which will take place simultaneously at 11: 00 on Friday, May 28. On the other hand, the Regatas Committee has reported that no departure will be held from Mallorca, inviting the ships registered in it to participate in the Barcelona Version or the Denia Version... the Organization has wanted to highlight the availability of the Club de Vela Port d'Andratx to adapt to the successive changes of date and program that has suffered this thirty-third edition and shows its commitment to relaunch the departure from Mallorca in the 2022 edition.

A month after the race, the organization has about 200 pre-registered ships, of which 60 have already reported their assistance. It is estimated that in a week the remaining squares will be exhausted, which will be assigned on the basis of the date on which the employers confirm their participation... the Salt Route, in which they usually participate about 200 ships, is the highest race with the largest participation of the Mediterranean. The reduction to 50% of the usual fleet and therefore the number of navigators involved will certainly facilitate the health management of the event in the current context.

The Organizing Committee works closely with the authorities of Ibiza and the Ajuntment of Sant Antoni de Portmany to ensure that the sporting event, considered of "Island Tourist Interest," can be held with all the guarantees. The Ruta de la Sal has a long history as an ambassador of the Ibiza brand, and has for years served as an exit shot from the tourist season on the island. With a media impact valued at about EUR 3 million, this is a key element in promoting the destination of nautical tourism. The strategic nature of this quality tourism, linked to values of sustainability, health and sport, gains even greater weight because of the current context and the model change it implies.

At the level of registered and pre-registered in large ranges, the Galma, the Wally 94 by Alberto Palatchi, whose participation, if confirmed, would become the largest in the fleet. In the Barcelona version, the Gymir, Maxi Dolphin 65 of Manel Codina has already confirmed its participation to try to revalidate its worked victory in real time of the last edition. The classic Rossina di Mare, Sparkman & Stpehens 63, a flagship of the Pollença nautical ship, patrolled by José Singla and Amador Magraner, as well as Alex Staring's Flomali II, Swan 60 are other ships that have confirmed their departure from Barcelona.

Some foreigners, such as Frans van Belle, owner of the Swan 56 La Belle, are in the expectation of international mobility regulations in order to confirm their participation. For the Denia version, there is much hope to see the new Pelotari Project by Andrés Varela, a Vismara Mills 68, and it is expected that the Alzira Moraira, Swan 75 by Agustín Gregori can confirm its pre-registration, which has already been done by Adolfo José Troisi, owner of the Jeanneau 64 New Illusion and Gabriel Medem, owner of the First 53 Aviator.
