Vice President Yllanes signs an agreement with the AENIB, which includes measures to facilitate the presence of the most traditional companies in the nautical sector in the next edition of the Palma International Boat Show

The Energy Transition Council, Productive Sectors and Democratic Memory, through the Institute of Enterprise Innovation of the Balearic Islands (IDI), continues to bet that the traditional business fabric of the nautical sector, grouped in the Association of Nautical Enterprises of the Balearic Islands (AENIB), will be promoted and have visibility in the next edition of the Palma International Boat Show (PIBS).

To this end, the vice-president, Juan Pedro Yllanes, has signed an agreement with the president of the AENIB, Jaume Vaquer, to support more than 100 companies that are part of it and that represent the traditional business fabric of the nautical sector. IDI Managing Director Mariona Luis has also participated in the event.

The aim of the agreement is to support the promotion and visibility of both the nautical fair of Palma and the nautical sector in general. In fact, both the IDI and the AENIB work to make the Nautical Hall, the first presence after the pandemic, a successful company and sales participation.

Vice President Yllanes has explained that "it must be borne in mind that the AENIB has always had a great representation among the exhibitors of the fair, some of which are founders. In the last year, due to the crisis caused by COVID19, companies have suffered a fall in income that does not facilitate participation in the fair. For this reason, we want to support them to be present at the Palma International Boat Show, which will be a great opportunity to recover sales and leave these very complicated months."

Thus, as stipulated in the agreement, companies associated with the AENIB will have a price bonus for their participation in the fair. In return, they will promote and give visibility to the event through dissemination on national and international channels. In addition, AENIB will advise the PIBS organizing team on the development of parallel activities.

For his part, the president of the AENIB, Jaume Vaquer, has said that "our association will always support any event or project that involves the promotion of the nautical sector in the Balearic Islands, and from which our business fabric is strengthened." In addition, Vaquer has stressed that "sector and administration must lay the clear foundations for all sectors involved in this sector, and we must work together to have a nautical fair of success and the future."

The Association of Nautical Enterprises of the Balearic Islands (AENIB) is composed of more than a hundred companies in the Islands sector that combine very diverse activities among their partners, such as construction and maintenance of ships, sale of ships, charter, nautical training or repair and maintenance. Founded in 1986, it is the business association dean and reference in the marine sector balear, and it is integrated into the employers ANEN (National Association of Nautical Companies), which represents in practice the entire industrial and business fabric of the nautical of recreation in Spain.

The next edition of the Palma International Boat Show will be held from 3 to 6 June 2021 at the Moll Vell de Palma. In fact, it will be the first face-to-face fair in the sector after the pandemic, and will be the event that will inaugurate the nautical season.
