The XXIII Trophy Universitat Politècnica de València already has new champions. In the ORC class the winner was the Swan 45 Brujo, by Alberto de Castro, while in the ORC Club category the title was taken by the Praia, a Sun Liberty 34 by Pau Chirivella. An edition that has been marked by the health restrictions that have not allowed the university community to form part of the crew on the registered ships.

Meteorology pointed out that it was going to be a protagonist with rain and a lot of wind, although in the end it was the opposite. Two magnificent days in terms of wind conditions, with an average of 16 knots of intensity on an axis of 045 °. On Saturday the organizing committee proposed a triangle in the 'Manel Casanova' race field of almost 8 miles of journey, while today the fleet has completed a wind tour, barlovento-sotavento, of 6.5 miles with two girds and two soups.

In both days we have had a nice real-time struggle between the two great fleet: Witch, a Swan 45, and M8, a Gand Soleil 43, although the wind conditions were somewhat more favourable for the first one. In the "peques' Majoche, a First 40.7, has had no real-time rival, achieving an important advantage over his twin the GDES-Aerox and something more about the Spartan- Chatin, a First 40D.

With regard to the Saturday day and after the time was obtained the provisional podium was closed with Brujo, M8, of the French brothers Armengot, and Majoche, of Alejandro Fliquete, in the ORC class. In the ORC Club the first three squares were for Praia, of Pau Chavella, Inquiétino-Alhambra (Bavaria 38) of José Vicente Alhambra and Plis Plas (Platu 25) of Alfredo Quesada.

Little or nothing has changed things today Sunday, although there has been some variation in the back, but it has not affected the final podium in both classes. After closing the barlovento-sotavento, in ORC the Witch is proclaimed champion, while M8 and Majoche conclude second and third respectively. At ORC Club, even though the first three places have been maintained, there have been variations in the positions in the table.

Praia has added a new partial triumph, after the compensated times, while Formable Tai (Drac One Tone), by Vicente Meseguer today made a spectacular race from the long run, thus adding a second place. Inquiethyl-Alhambra has been third and Blue Lizard (First 34.7), by Eduardo Tur, fourth, which has led to a tie to 8 points in the bronze of this category, being Plis Plas third by its third achieved on Saturday.
