Great Britain, Australia and France the first podium in SailGP Spain fourth
The second day of the SailGP Bermuda Grand Prix, presented by Hamilton Princess, was a spectacular competition with winds of between 35 and 40 knots... in which Britain has been the first winner of SailGP's second season by imposing three ships against Australia and France in the grand final.
The Spanish F50 Victoria, patronized by Phil Robertson, gambled hard and had his options to move on to the great final, but finally he stayed at the gates, just one point from Britain and France. Australia was classified after it had been imposed on four of the five contested sleeves.

2021 / 04 / 24: The F50 Victoria takes off and shows its potential in Bermuda

With a wind of more than 30 knots the F50 flew in the waters of Hamilton and with the Spanish team being the great protagonist in the departure of the first test, crossing it to the barlovent of the entire fleet in first position, and facing the first stretch in a hand-to-hand with Australia and France; ships that would later be the ones who would fight for the triumph from there, highlighting the rest of the fleet
He started the SailGP Bermuda Grand Prix presented by Hamilton Princess, with a remarkable performance by Spanish ship F50 Victoria, which as he did in Sydney, proved to be at the level of the great. After the first day of the race, Spain occupies the fifth position at four points of the podium. Undefeated leader Australia, followed by Japan and France, tied to points, while the United States is fourth.
The fire test, which always represents the premiere of a competition like SailGP, was performed with a result not negligible to the F50 Victoria, with Phil Robertson to the cane and which for the occasion was accompanied in this first race of the 2021 season by Florian Trittel, Diego Botin, Mateu Barber, Ñeti Cuervas- Mons and Lucas Trittel.
The Victoria and the Australians left the race field in the first corner, which caused them to be penalized, but in the end it would not affect them too much. France, the United States and Australia held the first three positions, followed by Spain, which demonstrated its strength by surpassing New Zealand by Peter Burling and Britain by Ben Ainslie, two of the a priori, great favorites.
In the last stretch Australia and France separated, ending in first and second position and then came Japan, the United States and Spain.
In the second test of the day, the F50 Victoria found a lot of traffic on the way out, which made it not easy. The Australian ship soon took its head without giving any choice. From there the struggle would focus on the rest of the positions, the Japanese were also very safe and soon consolidated the second square.
Meanwhile the Victoria was going back up and in the last stretch would be played with Danes and French. The Robertson-Trittel tandem managed to place itself in third position and gain distance until the last buoy that made way through, but there the Spanish team took a scare after being about to fly once they faced the last stretch, which would have been fatal. But the Spanish crew was able to control the situation and end up entering third parties at 1: 04 in Australia and Japan.
In the third and last manga of the day the F50 Victoria sought to consolidate its improvement, but problems in the sensor of the hydraulic - which it was dragging from before the first test - eroded the powers of the ship, thus they could no longer improve. The Spanish ship occupied the fifth place in much of the first section of the tour, and finally finished sixth. He won again Australia with an immense Tom Slingsby, followed now by Britain and the United States.
