Four of its crew members are classified for Tokyo "Ñeti" Antonio Cuervas-Mons, Andrea Emone, Tara Pacheco, Lucas Trittel and Xabi Fernández, coach, join the team formed by Jordi Xammar, Phil Robertson, Florian Trittel, Diego Botin and Mateu Barber
At the beginning of the second season of SailGP this weekend in Bermuda, the Spanish team of SailGP presents its crew, mostly made up of Olympic athletes and characterized as the youngest in the competition. With experience in major international sailing competitions, such as the Olympic Games, the Volvo Ocean Race or the Red Bull Youth's America's Cup, SailGP's national team has four crew members in the Tokyo Olympic campaign.
"Ñeti" Antonio Cuervas- Mons, Andrea Emone, Tara Pacheco and Lucas Trittel are the new Spanish SailGP Team, as well as coach Xabi Fernández. All these are in addition to the team that led Jordi Xammar and that already participated in the previous season: Phil Robertson in the cane, until Jordi is available after his Olympic date, Florian Trittel (wing timer), Diego Botin (flight controller) and Mateu Barber (grinder)... María del Mar de Ros, CEO of the Spanish team and only woman with this position within the competition.
