Like Crazy first in the Mini FNOB Base Regata in Barcelona

The award was held on Tuesday a few minutes after the last participant arrived. Marina Vela Barcelona Director Fernando Gayá delivered the trophies to the first in each category, which consisted of a fun food basket with typical Barcelona products. Port Vell, for its part, gave them a reproduction of the Mirravel, the floating sculpture that is located in Port Vell, next to the Maremagnum. And Helly Hansen, who also sponsors the race, and Base Mini Barcelona, gave a custom sports bag with the logo of Base Mini Barcelona to the first three of each category
The MiniFNOB- Trophy Marina Vela Barcelona is at an end with the same winner as in 2020. The Like Crazy of Fede Waksman and Diego Stefani crossed the finish line yesterday in front of Marina Vela Barcelona at 11: 55: 57 in the morning, so the boat repeated the first place last year. A total of nine Spanish regatists participated.
After the stop in the Balearic Islands, the Like Crazy was gaining positions until the passage of Dragonera, where he already crossed leading the fleet. The Proto Siren of Rudi Van Velzen and Mathieu Damerval alternated the position with Like Crazy for a few hours, but from there Fede Waksman was increasing its advantage until the end of the race.
Just over an hour away from Like Crazy, in second position, Candidate Sailing Team, from Christian Kargl and Lisa Berger, who also led the race for a few moments in the first part of the race. Third and first Proto, Siren, by Rudi Van Velzen and Mathieu Damerval less than two hours from the first classified.
It should be noted that the decision of the Regata Directorate to stop for a few hours the fleet in the port of Sa Ràpita was the most successful, despite the logistical complications it involved and that it impeccably resolved the equipment of the Nàutic Club of Sa Rípita. The fleet thus avoided the toughest conditions of wind and sea, and took advantage of a south-south-west wind of 15 knots that after Dragonera drove the ships at a good speed to Barcelona, although with quite a sea in the first third.
