The Asterian Walter Bouzán and the Canaria Judith Vergés have today proclaimed themselves winners in K1 of the Second Cup of Spain of Kayak de Mar, held this weekend in the city of Denia.

Bouzán, of the El Sella team, a gold medal at the Silver Games in 2019 and fifth in the Spanish Winter Championship 2021, has presided over the podium with the Canaries Esteban Medina and Víctor Rodríguez (both of the Friends of Piragüismo of the Canary Islands), second and third, respectively.

Vergés, belonging to the Club Amigos del Piragüismo de Canarias, winner of the Atlantic Ocean World Cup 2020 Lanzarote and silver at the 2019 Beach Games, has been imposed ahead of Aurora Figueras (Banyoles) and Amaia Osaba (Piragüismo Pamplona).

Both Figueres and Osaba have managed to double by getting the podium in K2, both forming a couple with their respective clubs. Figueres obtained the gold with Albert Corominas (Banyoles) and Osaba in the company of Felipe Besada (Piragüismo Pamplona).
