The Naval Commission of Regatas has hosted on Saturday, April 10, the final meeting of the seventh edition of the Interclub Regata, which has again become the most multitudinary national of the winter cruise season. After almost two months of competition and six tests in the era of Pontevedra, Orion, Mar de Frades Curceros Pelegrin, Aguieira I, Orlando, Maral IV and Cassandra are the new winners of the prestigious Galician quote.
In Class 1 Froiz the Javier Pérez Orion (MRCY Baiona) confirms its victory by accumulating two partial wins, two seconds and a quarter in the five disputed trials, results that already placed them from the last weekend with a point of advantage over the Juancamaría 3 of Juan Carlos Pérez Olmedo (Náutico Léon). The third post of the podium is finally occupied by Carlos García's Force 4 (RCM Aguete).
In Class 2 Abanca, the victory has been for the Sea of Frades Cruises Pelegrin of Joaquín Carneiro (Ro Yacht Club) after a perfect season with three partial wins and four points of advantage over the Squid 2 of Francisco Lusquiños (CN Portonovo), which ends second. The Vagalume de Luis Vidal, which started the circuit leading in its category with very good results in the first races, finally closes the podium in the third drawer.
For its part, in Class 3 Open North Sails repeats the victory of the Aguieira I of Celestino Campelo (RCM Aguete), followed very closely by the Youkounkoun of Adolfo Castro (CN Portonovo), which ends the circuit in the second position. Further in points was the Trotto of Ernesto Smyth (CN Beluso), who says goodbye to the Interclubs with the third final place.
The Class 4 Murimar Seguridad has certainly been the most disputed of the edition, and the fact is that the first three classified have ended up tied to nine points. The Orlando de Gerardo Sánchez (CN Boiro) is the new champion of the circuit in front of the José Rey's Nejra Chispa (CN Beluso) and the Five Albariño Islands of Iñaki Carbajo (CN Beluso), seconds and third, respectively.
In Lone Class and A Dos Opticalia Campelo the final victory has been for the Maral IV of Roberto de la Puente (CN Portonovo), who was leader since the first trial dispute. In the second position, the South Vento of Antonio Fernández (Ro Yachts Club) and the third of the Samoa of Simón Bernardez (RCM Aguete) end. Only four points separated the three podium members in the general.
And in the Class of Naval Effects Jesus Betanzos of Classics and Veterans, which was also very tight to the end, the victory will finally stop at the hands of Javier Pazó's Cassandra (CN Portonovo). The second final position was held by Antero J. Rodríguez (Ro Yachts Club) and the third place by Ana Pazó (CN Raxó).
As for the Interclub Challenge Trophy, the winner this year has been the Ro Yachts Club... the closure took place at the Puerto Deportivo de Commud, as well as the award of prizes... according to the following honor box:
