Neus Ballester and Andrea Perello from the Sa Rapita Nautical Club and the Nàutic S'Arenal Club... are proclaimed the 420-year-old Spanish champions in Santander.
The silver has been for Pablo Ruiz and Javier Mestre of the Real Club Náutic de Palma and the Nàutic El Balis in second position and with a masterful day for this tandem... being the silver for the canaries Alberto Morales and Miguel Bethencourt of the Real Club Nautico de Arrecife de Lanzarote. Baleares begins by stepping hard in the 420 Spanish Championship that is celebrating the Royal Maritime Club of Santander. The opening day has been dominated by a lazy wind that started from a north-east component and has been rolling north.

2021 / 04 / 07: The 420 Spanish Championship starts in Santander with 86 ships
The Royal Maritime Club of Santander organizes the Spanish Championship of 420 with the participation of 86 crews from eight territorial federations: Andalusia, Balearic Islands, Canary Islands, Cantabria, Catalonia, Comunitat Valenciana, Galicia and País Vasco.
The current Spanish champion crew formed by the Majorcan Neus Ballester (CN Sa Ràpita) and Andrea Perelló (Club Nàutic Arenal), second absolute in 2020 in the waters of the bay of Cadiz, part as a great favorite, as it will go on to defend the title in the female category.
Other crews that start with options are the Catalan of Sebastián Riquelme and Miquel Pérez (CN El Balís), fourth in last year's edition. Also the two-time World Champion of the Optimist class, the balar María Perelló along with Marta Cardona (CN Arenal) will be another of the crews from the Optimist to follow, as will the Catalan Nora García and Mariona Ventura (CN El Masnou) or the canaries of Pol Núñez and Pablo Cabrera (RCN Gran Canaria) and David Santacabu and Humberto Gutiérrez (RCN Tenerife).
