The Basque Olympic bimedalist has pointed out that the French channel is similar to that of Kasai, to which it has compared in terms of the type of construction and obstacles

The Olympic champion Maialen Chourraut has started its adaptation for the Tokyo Games training in Paris, taking advantage of the similarities between the channel that will host the Olympic meeting of 2024 and that of Kasai, the Japanese stage in which it will compete within 115 days.
Chourraut is trained at the orders of his technician, Xabi Etxaniz, on the Vaires-sur-Marne channel, the installation already built to host the slalon tests at the Paris Olympic Games, with capacity for 22,000 spectators.

"After an intense month, full of competitions with 2 Spanish Cups and 2 Pinireus Cups, I am now preparing the JJOO here in Paris, on the channel built to host the Paris Games 2024", has explained the Basque palist, who has started accumulating victories in the start of the season.

Chourraut, gold in Rio 2016 and bronze in London 2012, leads the Spanish slalon selection in Tokyo for which the Spanish delegation, which complete Núria Vilarrobla, Ander Elosegi and David Llorente, has managed to classify palists in all the program's tests for the first time in history.
