The opening of a championship that still has three more days in the program and the sights are already put in the weather forecasts for this Thursday... is expected to be quite cloudy and there is a lot of chance of rain, even of strong chucunks... in theory will reign surstas in the morning and southwest afternoon, with between 5 and 8 knots of average and rachas above ten... the fleet if the schedule is fulfilled, must begin to compete at the edge of 11: 00 in the morning.

2021 / 03 / 30: Historical days in Monte Real with the celebration of the National of Optimist-Cenor

A historic quote at the Monte Real Club de Yates de Baiona that returns to its origins... when the little ones with their optimist candles populated the beautiful bay of Baiona by the hand of José de la Gandara and Jesús Valverde Viñas... and some little ones gave a special bustle to the Villa de la Carabela la Pinta, among them Javier de la Gandara 50 years ago an optimist who promised in his "Tortuga," and that today on the eve of the beginning of the Spanish Championship - Trofeo Cenor, gave a master lesson in the small part of the Spanish Mountain, in the small part of the city of the city of the city...

More than a hundred young regatists from ten autonomous communities aspire to take the title of champion in the categories SUB 16 and SUB 13 over the four days that the competition will continue... the Optimist will be divided every day into two different groups - blue and yellow - with the aim that they can all compete against all. They will sail a qualifying series of 9 tests during the first three days of competition; and a final series, of 3 sleeves, on the last day of the championship. With the holding of 2 tests, the championship will already be valid; and the fourth manga completed, the regatists will be given the possibility to rule out their worst result.

At the head of the race committee will be Cristofol Morales and the sports director of Monte Real, Roy Alonso, will be the security coordinator.. in total, more than thirty people between committees, balizadores, sailors, jurors, meters, office staff, security and press will take over the entire championship operation.
