Baiona will host in Easter the Spanish Championship of Optimist-Trophy Cenor, the most important date of the national children's sailing in 2021... by the hand of Mount Real Club of Yates, which was precisely one of the Spanish clubs that promoted and enhanced the optimist in the 60 / 70... the best children's regatists in the country will compete in Galician waters from March 29 to April 3.
It will be two days of preparation and four days of competition, with 150 boys and girls from 10 autonomous communities... Galicia will be the autonomy that the most regatists put in place, since to the 19 called by ranking classification, three more athletes will be added that the Royal Spanish Federation of Vela grants to the Galician community as the organizer of the event.
It is followed by the number of regatists Andalusia, the Balearic Islands, the Canary Islands and the Valencia Community, which will meet the national with 20 athletes each. Catalonia will compete with 19, Murcia with 11, the Basque Country and Cantabria with 6 each, and Madrid with 4.
A total of 150 boys and girls between the ages of 9 and 15 will be held for four days as best sportsman SB 16 and SB 13 in the male and female categories.
In the framework of this championship will also enter the Spanish Championship for Autonomy, which will reward the community with the best results of the Optimist class.
With regard to the sports development of the competition, the championship will include 2 days of preparations, on Monday 29 and Tuesday 30 March, for registration and measurement. The successive three days, on Wednesday 31 March, on Thursday 1 and Friday 2 April, will be devoted to a classification series from which the regatists will come out that will be held the final series on Saturday 3 April.
Each day will include a maximum of 3 tests, so, if all can be held, the national would unveil its winners after 12 punctuable sleeves. The last day of competition, on Saturday, April 3, will also be held the award of the winners, starting at six o'clock in the gardens of Mount Real Club de Yates.
