The award for these young regatists to compete in the Spanish Championship in Galician waters...

The Regatists of Optimist of Club Nàutic Cambrils Joan Domingo, Joan Fargas, Miguel Garcia and Iker Múgica will participate in the Spanish Championship of Optimist this March after being selected by the Federació Catalana de Vela. It is the first time since 2013 that up to four CNCB regatists are classified to participate in a national championship with the Catalan Optimist Selection.

The Optimist team currently has 2 regatists and is one of the most numerous in Catalonia. The classification of four regatists for the Spanish Championship and the good overall results of the teams in the latest competitions show the great work of the athletes and of the team of trainers of Optimist of the Níutic Cambrils Club formed by Uri Oliva, Leandre Garcia and Bea Muro; under the coordination of Aleix Monmany and the direction of Joan Gelpí.

The Spanish Optimist Championship will take place in Baiona (Vigo) from March 29 to April 3. For the Cambrils club, the work done by the entire team of Optimist and this classification is a pride and reason for celebration... to all this, we must add that the regatist Lucia Gascón, has been selected by the Federació Catalana de Vela to compete with the Catalan Selection in the Spanish Cup of ILCA 6 to be held in Pollença from 1 to 4 April.
