The Federation of Vela de la Comunitat Valenciana wants to transfer its support to all the nautical clubs that currently have the expired concession period and that, despite having requested either a new concession, or an extension of the one they already had, or both options, using the GVA Ports Act, still await a response as the procedures are paralyzed by the GVA for no apparent reason.

The Nautical clubs that are in Ports del Estado, Alicante, Valencia, Gandia and Castellón, do not escape the legal insecurity of their current administrative concessions. Whether you have an administrative degree in precarious or about to become extinct, or you have an unsustainable occupation fee. The Federation supports the action of the Association of Nautical Clubs of the CV through the CEACNA, are currently working on the draft Law of the new State Ports Act to defend the interests of the nautical clubs.

To date, associated with the Valencian Federation, a total of 25 nautical clubs manage sports nautical facilities. Of these, more than 50 per cent have the expired concession period and suffer from continuing legal uncertainty. They cause damage to the survival of our sport so obvious that they prevent things as simple as asking for international competitions, or engaging in long-term coaches, for example.

It should be noted that nautical clubs are non-profit sports entities, which means that all their income is for the maintenance of the facilities and the promotion of the sport, which results in both the organization of sports competitions and the existence and operation of the competition teams themselves and the schools of nautical sports. The clubs are the ones who bring everything to the candle and without them our sport would stop having the value it has.

Therefore, from the Federation we continue to support clubs, in the face of all the difficulties that these entities face, which make their social objective, the promotion of sport, an extraordinary effort of resources, training, material and personal, as legal instability also means economic instability. In addition, they remain obliged to pay the concession fee but do not enjoy the advantages of having years of concession ahead of them, for example, to find income routes such as bank credit, the admission of new partners, etc. We hope that these procedures can move forward and resolve so that we can continue to work for and for the sport we love.
