470 World Cup: Silvia More and Patricia Cantero Gold Girls in Vilamoura
Vilamoura closes the global of 470 and the European of RS: X with the end of infarction in the 470 World Championship, in which the Spanish Olympic team adds a gold and a bronze to its palmaris, signed by Silvia Más and Patricia Cantero and Jordi Xammar and Nicolás Rodríguez respectively... two metals achieved in the most important championship of the Olympic cycle and that come to confirm the great possibilities of medals that the Spanish Olympic team, the ESP Sailing Team, has in this discipline.
The beginning of the female Medal Race, with Silvia Mas and Patricia Cantero as leaders, was made to wait for instability of the wind, with two postponements to the edge of the exit and annulment of the first attempt. The third was the defeat, with the wind to the limit of the impossible, to live a Medal Race of heart attack. The Spanish have covered the route by sailing the razor's edge, without the wind to push them and putting the title in an hour to the same line of arrival. A fourth place in the Medal confirmed the gold for Spain in this World Championship, with the Dutch Zegers and Berkhout on the second step and the Italian Berta and Caruso closing the podium.
The 470 male fleet, with Jordi Xammar and Nicolás Rodríguez, had unfavorable wind conditions for our Olympic crew, with only 7 knots. The Spaniards took the first beacon in tenth place and started a raging that was scratching on the side to the side to cross the line of arrival in seventh position, making with the bronze of this 2021 world. A third position loaded with value for the Spaniards, whose optimal wind conditions are above the average offered by this world, and which thus demonstrate that they have opened their range of conditions by expanding their medal options at the next Tokyo Olympic Games.
In the RS: X European Championship, Blanca Manchón faced the Medal Race from the seventh position, since he has been able to defend in this difficult day, in which we have seen the Italian Zofia Noceti lose the silver after adding one last in the Medal, won by the Dutch Lilian de Geus who thus achieved the subchampionship behind the French Charline Picon, which renews its title as a European champion.
In RS: X Male, Sergi Scandinell has finally been the best Spanish ranked with an eighth place in the general, followed by Angel Granda, ninth. The new European champion is Dutch Kiran Badloe, accompanied on the podium by Italian Mattia Camboni and Israeli Ofek Elimelech, second and third respectively.

Silvia Mas and Patricia Cantero arrive leaders in the last day, roaring the gold of the most important World Championship of the Olympic campaign
Jordi Xammar and Nicolás Rodríguez stay on the podium and will fight tomorrow to close the world with medal... at the RS: X European Championship, Spain will be at the Medal Race both in female, with White Manchón, and in male with Angel Granda and Sergi Scandinell
The 470 World Championship closes its individual series and faces the great final race, the Medal Race, with the two crews of the Spanish Olympic team in medal positions: Silvia Mas and Patricia Cantero as leaders in 470 female and Jordi Xammar and Nicolás Rodríguez in third position in the male classification.
The female crew of Silvia Mas and Patricia Cantero, leader in their category since the second day of the championship, today maintain their position after adding a ninth and a 19 that they rule out. The Spanish have the gold at hand, although it is clear that the fight in this category is ferrous and tomorrow the points will be sold very expensive on the Medal Race, with the trio head at a margin of seven points. Our Olympics have shown good management throughout the week, both of the conditions that are prevailing in the race field, and of the pressure established in the fleet from the first compasses, which represents an excellent endorsement for the world scepter.
In the RS: X European Championship, which also ends tomorrow in the same waters, the Olympic White Manchon has access to the Medal Race from the seventh place, with two male pre-Olympics entering the final race: Angel Granda (7th) and Sergi Scandinell (9th). In the European RS: X, Blanca Manchón today drops a step in the provisional classification after adding a 7-9-3, although he faces the Medal Race tied to points with the sixth square, on a table headed today by the French Charline Picon, a single point from the Italian Noceti.

2021 / 03 / 12: The female 470 stands in the lead, and the male rises to the third place in the World Cup

The games of the wind are not able to bend the Spanish team, which continues to lead the world of 470 female, back to the podium in 470 male and is located at a point of the third step in Joint
Spain closes the fourth day of the 470 World Championship with the two crews of the Olympic team on the podium: Silvia Mas and Patricia Cantero remain strong at the leadership position, and Jordi Xammar and Nicolás Rodríguez in third position after closing the day with a second position. Great day also for the mixed crew of Patricia Reino and Pablo García, who have tasted the podium to finally remain in fourth position, only one point from the third classified.
Silvia Mas and Patricia Cantero are not shaken by the pulse in this global of 470, a key part of the campaign towards the Tokyo Games, and they have remained firm in the head of the classification, seeing how their stern is in a hard struggle for the rest of the podium, in which today they are accompanied by the Dutch Zegers and Berkhout (from third to second) and the Italian Berta and Caruso that steal the third step from the French Lecointre and Return.
For Jordi Xammar and Nicolás Rodríguez it has been a hard but fruitful day. They started holding the fourth position of the general with an eighth, but they took off the spinite with a second that led them to the third position of the general, in which the Swedes Dahlberg and Bergström continue to send, even though the Portuguese took their position after the first race of the day.
Among the mixed crews, the Canaries Patricia Reino and Pablo García continue to demonstrate their potential and, after rising to the third step of the podium after the first race of the day, an eighth place in the second took them to the fourth position, although a single point separates them from the medal. The Israelites Cohen and Homri are now in charge of the classification.
In the RS European Championship: X Blanca Manchón is the best classified Spanish team with a sixth place among the girls, being Sergi Scandinell, seventh, and Ángel Granda, ninth, the best among the boys staying in the Top10, a single day from the Medal Race.
The possibilities remain open also in the European RS: X, where Blanca Manchón is sixth in a classification in which much remains to be defined, with the Polish Zofia Noceti being made today with the lead to the detriment of the French Charline Picon, the Italian Giorgia Speciale being the only one that remains in its position, third.
Tomorrow will be a key day in both the global of 470 and the European of RS: X, defining the positions that will give access to the different Medal Race that will be held on Saturday. The wind seems willing to accompany the fleet and the Spanish crews will not let any opportunity escape.
