The Universitat Politècnica de València and the Real Club Náutico de Valencia have today signed the renewal on the cooperation agreement that both entities have maintained and which has been signed since 2002, the main objective being to promote the sport of sailing between the university community.

The event took place today the social headquarters of the Nautico de Valencia, with the presence of Francisco José Mora, university rector, who has been accompanied by José Luis Cueto, Vice rector, and Alicia López Yeste, responsible for sports at the University. Alejandro Fliquete, president of the Nautico, as well as the directors José Rubio, Rafael de Tomás and Carlos de Beltrán, have also been present as manager.

An agreement of more than 20 years between the University, through its Sports Service and the Nautical, whose main focus has always been to bring the sport of the sailing to the university, with various actions including the initiation courses and other activities to introduce and promote this sports discipline.

The agreement, in its various sections, has as its main project the UPV Trophy for the cruise class, in which the students join the various ships of competition registered to participate for two days in an official race... an appointment that has been developing recently in mid-April.
