Hyundai Heavy Industries Group (HHI Group) is promoting the "hydrogen project" in cooperation with Saudi Aramco, a state oil company in Saudi Arabia

Hyundai Heavy Industries Gruop signed a collaboration agreement with Saudi Aramco on blue hydrogen and ammonia projects. Hyundai Oilbank, the Hyundai oil refinery unit, will import Saudi Aramco's LPG to convert it into blue hydrogen, which is produced from a fossil fuel in a process that captures CO2 emissions.

The Korean multinational plans to sell blue hydrogen to Aramco LPG for electric fuel vehicles or power plants with fuel cells, or to use it in desulphurisation facilities... so the refiner plans to establish 300 hydrogen loading stations for 2040 throughout South Korea.
