La segunda jornada de la Liga de Invierno Baitra J80 se disputará el próximo 20 de marzo

The second day of the Winter League Baitra J80 will be held on March 20

The Marías, led by Manuel Marías, was the winner on Saturday in Baiona of the first stage of the Winter League Baitra J80, the winter monotypes competition organized by Mount Real Club of Yates that will be held in five days until next May.

The Portuguese sailboat, with Tiago Morais, Marta Ramada, Vasco Tinoco and Antonio Marías completing the crew, managed to win in the only test that could be disputed because of the wind, which blew very little intensity, always below 5 knots, and prevented the three sleeves provided for in the program.

The Marías left as one of the favorites in the quinielas and did not let down. The team of young lucid regatists proved to be very coerced in the maneuvers and managed to beat the rest of the fleet on the double path between buoys designed by the regatta committee for this inaugural stage.

The New Moon of Juan Luis Tuero tried to double the Portuguese but finally had to conform to the second position and the Cansino of Fernando Yáñez was third in the provisional classification.

The Okofen of Javier de la Gandara, another of the J80 with clear aspirations for the title, did not have much luck on this first day and fell down to the fourth position; followed by the Spaco of Santiago Estevez, which goes fifth, and the Due of Rafael Blanco, of Portosin, which is sixth. In the Alboroto de Juan Carlos Ameneiro are maintained Juan José Lago and Javier Lago, and is added as a novelty another historical of the sailing in Galicia, Miguel Lago, which for a long time sailed in J80 and which is recently usual to see with the fleet of 6 meters.
