The Gijón Regatta Club, the Real Club Astur, has made public the 2021 Calendar of Regatas... with the relevant health obstacles due to the pandemic we are suffering... being the Spring of Light Sailing and Cruise trophies will be in charge of opening the season on March 6 and 7. A total of 6 days will be held every 15 days in the course of March, April and May. Optimist, Laser Snipe and Feva are the classes called in light sail.

As almost always the centenary club will be in charge of organizing all the Championships of Asturias of Vela Ligera, calling in the Bay of San Lorenzo the Optimist, Feva, Laser 4.7 and Standard on May 15 and 16. The next to be measured will be the Laser Radial on July 16 and 17. The autonomous tests will end with the Snipe Championship on July 31 and August 1.

Other competitions will be the Santa Catalina Trophy on April 24 and 25, the San Pedro Trophy on June 12 and 13. The Carlos del Castillo Memorial reserved for the Snipe class will take place on July 3 and 4, the test has a long track record this year will be held the XXII edition. Another of the most important races of the season is the Trophy Villa de Gijón de Vela Ligera scheduled for August 28 and 29. The Trophy of Hispanity, which will take place on the 9th and 10th of October, is closed.

The Sail of Cruise, too, has extensive programming throughout the year. To the Spring and Fall Trophy you have to add a Regata to two, which will be held on June 6. The University of Oviedo Regata is another of the classic calendar organized by the Club in conjunction with the University, to be held on June 26 and 27. The II Regata Aproches will be held from 6 to 8 August a coastal test that will travel part of the Asturian coast, in the same month on the 21st, will be held in the X Trophy President, a carousel between buoys in front of the beach of San Lorenzo. The dean of the sailing races in Asturias, the Villa de Gijón-Trophy el Comercio with its thirty-first edition will be the last of the summer races scheduled for September 4 and 5. Then the cruises will compete in the Fall Trophy... finally, in Radiocontrol will be held throughout the year, for both the Micro Magic and the One Metre.
