On its 25th anniversary, the test is moved to the Real Club Nautico de Palma

The Superyacht Cup Palma celebrates its twenty-fifth edition from 23 to 26 June, with a renewed format to adapt to the health situation. Among the novelties, the transfer of the headquarters on land to the Real Club Nautico de Palma, a regular collaborator in the direction of the race.

As an attractive addition, the 2021 edition will be the premiere of the Performance Class, which will bring together a powerful fleet competing in its own race field. This new class is added to the original Superyacht Class and the popular Superyacht Corinthian Class, introduced in 2017, in which the boats sail without spinnaker.

The complete competition proposal of the race has already attracted the interest of outstanding superyacht universe units, such as Ganesha, boat 46 meters long, with Dubois design, which is looking forward to remeasuring forces in the Superyacht Class; or the WallyCento Magic Carpet 3, 30 meters long, potential integral to the Performance Class.

It also has the look on the Mallorcan date the Huckleberry Queche, a modern 40-meter classic that debuted at the Superyacht Cup in 2019, making with the first North Sails Trophy, the prize to the boat of the day created in memory of the founder of the sailing, Lowell North, and which is delivered every year.

Class J inscriptions could become another class of their own, which would be viable with three or more registered, further expanding if the competitive offer of the Superyacht Cup can be made... the organizers expect the owners, skippers and crews to feel inspired by the adjusted but deserved general victory of the venerable Velsheda in 2018, after an intense duel with the superqueche of Mari-Cha III.
