The Andalusian Pedro Pablo Barrios has today won the elections to the Royal Presidency of the Spanish Federation of Piragüismo by obtaining 52 votes against the 48 obtained by the other candidate, Javier Hernanz... the Special General Assembly, held at the headquarters of the COE, with 102 eligible Assemblies, has had the presence of the maximum head of the Spanish Olympic Committee, Alejandro Blanco, and his counterpart of the International Federation, José Pererena.

Pedro Pablo Barrios, president of the Andalusian Federation, replaces Juan José Román Mangas, who has been 12 years at the head of Spanish (2009- 2021), and becomes the sixth president in the history of the Royal Spanish Federation of Piragüismo, in which Hernando Calleja, Manuel Fonseca, José Perurena and Santiago Sanmamed preceded them.
