The Mystic Cruises shipowner bets on Ferri's innovative folding walkway

The folding walkway developed by Ferri Industries has become an indispensable accessory for the new ocean cruise of luxury expedition of the Mystic Cruises shipowner.
The World Voyager of the Mystic Cruises shipowner has been the first ship to incorporate the folding gateway developed by Ferri Industries. The World Voyager is a 126-meter-long hybrid propulsion ship belonging to the series of luxury ocean cruise ships of the Portuguese shipowner.
The Ferri folding walkway works sequentially and fully automatically, managed by a program that performs the functions of unlocking, door opening and deployment of the walkway, although it can be handled manually according to the needs of the service. Among its attractions is the compactibility, by concentrating on less than 10 cubic meters and just 3,500 kg the entire hydraulic, electrical and mechanical mechanism for a nine-metre ironing walkway, which allows its installation in a very small space.
The Ferri Folding Trail is designed for loading and unloading passengers, meets the highest safety standards (certified by Bureau Veritas), and is equipped with freefloat system (absorption of height variations when supported in port) and parachute (block of sudden movements). Its high mobility allows to reach turning angles of up to 80 degrees, and can be positioned almost in parallel to the ship if circumstances so require.
The shipowner's satisfaction with this tailor-made naval engineering project has allowed Ferri Industries to incorporate a second unit into the World Navigator, World Voyager twin, and to sign the manufacture of more walkways for the next two ocean cruises of Mystic Cruises.
