The Greek waters will be the race field for the first edition... this summer

The Offshore Classes and Events Committee of the ORC has assigned to the Real Club Nautico of Barcelona the organization of the 2023 ORC Double Handed European Championship... the Double Handed class is a strategic cruise mode that is having a very important growth worldwide in recent years, this reason and the reality of having an extensive and consolidated fleet of ships with reduced crew has encouraged the prestigious Catalan club, to request the organization of this event.

The year 20201 will hold the first championship, which has been entrusted to the Greek Hellenic Offshore Racing Club of Athens, between 4 and 10 July and in 2022 the seat will be the Swedish Royal Swedish Yacht Club in Stockholm... the third edition will take place in Barcelona waters in September 2023, and the exact dates will be announced in the coming months.

The well-known experience in holding international events such as the 2015 ORC World Cup, the many editions of the Vela Conde Godó Trophy and the Puig Vela Classica Barcelona Regata, has been a determining factor in having been chosen to hold this championship... but all the value and prestige of the Barcelona Nautic, internationally since the far 19th century.
