El primer balizamiento en el "Carrumeiro" fue en 1863... pero al poco tiempo el mar lo destruyó... (Fotos cedidas por el Club Náutico Carrumeiro)

The first beacon in the "Carrumeiro" was in 1863... but soon the sea destroyed it... (Photos given by the Carrumeiro Nautical Club)

Known historically by the sailors who fish at the Engenada de Corcubion, at the socaire of the mythical Finisterrae, there is a fearless bass located one mile from the coast... at the confluence at 245th of the so-called Galera tip and at 160º of Cabo Cee... just in the center of the channel of entry to the Corcubión ría... the south of the Rías Altas.

The current beacon dates back to 1917... which offered its first flashes on November 11 of that far year... was the third construction: the first two had been failed and lasted even a few days... the first in 1863 and the second forty years later... in 1903.

The "Carrumeiro" has a great name in the candle... because the Mount Real Club of Yates of Baiona in 1982 decided to project the route of the "long race of the prestigious Trophy Count of Gondomar" with exit from the Bay of Baiona, turned in the "Carrumeiro" and back to the Villa de la Pinta... total just over 100 miles.

There are many anecdotes in the so-called "Jesus Valvarde Regata" first of the "Count..." as when the fleet in 1991 flouted off the coast of Corcubion in the middle of a fog that did not allow a visibility of 20 meters in the middle of the claxons of the vehicles at night... which led to the fear of an accident to the more than 20 participating ships... or when the "Cotton" with Cristina de Borbón aborted and Theresza Zabell "there was also with difficulties of orientation with a dense fog, in the" Count of the world was very much to be known in the "of the National..."

Today the friends of Club Náutico Carrumeiro, based in the beautiful marine villa of Corcubión taken out yesterday Saturday, January 30, and we gladly hung them:
