Known historically by the sailors who fish at the Engenada de Corcubion, at the socaire of the mythical Finisterrae, there is a fearless bass located one mile from the coast... at the confluence at 245th of the so-called Galera tip and at 160º of Cabo Cee... just in the center of the channel of entry to the Corcubión ría... the south of the Rías Altas.
The current beacon dates back to 1917... which offered its first flashes on November 11 of that far year... was the third construction: the first two had been failed and lasted even a few days... the first in 1863 and the second forty years later... in 1903.
