A group of remers from the Marítimo de Vigo Club in the 1930s (Photos given by Francisco Javier Steinbrüggen Cruces, from Pacheco) In the 1930s they lived in our beloved Vigo, the Real Nautico Club and the Marítimo Club... the Nautico most focused on the candle and the social had its headquarters in the lower of the Gran Hotel in the heart of Puerta del Sol... the Marítimo focused on the rowing and swimming, was more popular, more dynamic, younger.
A traditional family of the Vigo post-World War I, was the Steinbrüggen Family... that good athletes with German ancestry were in love with the mobile bank rowing... among them stood out in a Paco way... their wake would be followed many years later by their son Francisco Javier Steinbrüggen Cruces... who was a good remer in the 1960s... at the time when the Nautico shone with his participation in Spain representing the 1960 Olympics, held in Rome.

We leave you with these beautiful photographs, which Francisco Javier has had the kindness to send us... thank you... and to continue to row Francisco!
