The Royal Spanish Federation of Piragüismo elects its 83 assembly members

The Royal Spanish Federation of Piragüismo has elected the 83 members who, together with the 19 presidents of the autonomous federations, will elect the new head of the federal entity during the general assembly, to be held on February 14.

By stage, 40 clubs, 22 athletes, 14 technicians and 7 referees have been elected in the polls, the count of which has been extended until 6.30 p.m. this Sunday.

With a total census of 3,998 voters, the face-to-face votes were held on Saturday at the federal headquarters in Madrid, where the 1,739 votes received by mail were held.

The 14 chosen technicians are: Alejandro Agüera, Laia Aubert, Julio González, Julio Moreno, Amaia Osaba, Juan José Sánchez, Aura Tazón, Isaac Vila, José Andrés Román Mangas, Alejandro Delgado, Sara Martí, Antonio Molina, Javier Varilas and Ismael Uali.

The seven arbitrators chosen are: Enric Balastegui, César Cea, María del Sol Fabian, Salvador Fontana, Gloria Mora, Begoña Rodríguez and Bruno Temiño.

The leader of the RFEP, Juan José Román Manga, has announced that he will not stand for re-election by ending three mandates in which the Pyragüism has achieved the best results in history, highlighting the 7 Olympic medals, 3 in London 2012 and 4 in Rio 2016.

The deadline for the submission of candidates to the Presidency is open next day 29. The General Assembly will be held on 14 February, at which the delegated committee will be elected and the sixth president of the Spanish Federation of Piragüismo will be voted on. Prior to Román Magas they held the position Santiago Sanmamed, José Perurena, Manolo Fonseca and Hernando Calleja.
