The president of the Gestora Commission of the Spanish Federation of Piragüismo, Juan José Román Mangas, has rejected the "falsehoods" released by the pre-candidate for the elections to the Royal Spanish Federation of Piragüismo, Javier Hernanz, in which he accuses the federal entity of incurring irresponsibility. The Federation is involved in the electoral process that will end on February 14 with the election of members of the General Assembly and the election of President, to which Román Mangas will not meet, which will close a cycle of three mandates in which Piragüism has achieved seven Olympic medals.

He also notes that, in order to participate in the vote that will take place tomorrow in Madrid to elect members of the assembly, the cages issued are a certification so that the electors who want to go, although all the censors have had the opportunity to request the possibility of issuing the vote by mail. For tomorrow's day a limitation of capacity is established, with the necessary security measures. In addition, all those present at the polling stations will have exceeded one RCP. In the face of Hernanz's accusation that he did not send the vote by mail to the "majority" of his "people," the Spanish one states that the votes by mail have been sent to all applicants who met the requirements of the regulation. In addition, the time limit has been extended in cases where there was a mistake in the shipment on its part.

The Spanish Federation stresses that in the electoral process more than 1800 requests for mail votes have been received from almost 3000 possible, which is more than double that of the previous 2016 call. On the other hand, to Hernanz's complaint of "skipping the electoral rules and collecting the votes by mail one day before the law," the RFEP replied: "The post office does not open on Saturday. The only possibility is that adopted: by drawing lots the members of the electoral table for the non-face vote, which have been the ones who have collected and guarded the votes deposited in special containers specified by the Post Office.
