The Sailing Team of the Jose Luis School of Ugarte of the Royal Abra Maritime Club-Real Sporting Club received one of the awards given by Diputación Foral de Bizkaia, which recognizes the individuals and entities that have highlighted for their work in promoting and promoting physical activity and sport in Bizkaia from the base. ç
The name of the persons and teams awarded, among which was the Maritime, was revealed in the award of the awards this Tuesday held in the Receptions Hall of the Foral Palace of Bizkaia, in an event in which the Deputy General of Bizkaia Unai Rementeria, together with the deputy of Euskera, Culture and Sport Lorea Bilbao participated. In his speech, the Deputy General said to the J80 team that "José Luis de Ugarte would be very satisfied with the School of Sailing and proud of your work and achievements."
The Jose Luis School of Ugarte was born in 1991 with the aim of promoting light sailing among the youth of Bizkaia. And the result of this quarry work was the success of the J80 World Championship held in July 2019 in the waters of the Abra, where the team formed by Silvia Marcé, Nicolás Viar, Tomás Trueba, Manolo Rey-Baltar and Juan Olábarri managed to rise with the first place in their category.
