New postponement for the Salt Route will begin on May 28
After several meetings with the authorities of Ibiza, the Organizing Committee of La Ruta de la Sal has today formalized the postponement of the race, initially scheduled for Holy Week. He has also announced the new dates: the departure will take place along the morning of Friday 28 May 2021, setting 12 hours on Sunday 30, as the time limit for the end of the tour.
The progressive improvement of the health situation in Ibiza, and the longest days of May, play for the success of the event on the new dates.

The entries were opened in early December... since after the required postponement of the edition in 2020, most of the registered ones decided to keep their registration for the edition of 2021, the number of places available for this next edition is considerably lower than usual, so the organization recommends that all interested parties reserve their place as soon as possible (Photos of Alfred Farré's "collage")
The Salt Route, the most emblematic race in the Mediterranean, will start again on April 1, the race season of this next 2021. The traditional meeting of the lovers of the navigation of height in holy week is presented with its three alternative tours, Barcelona, Denia and Mallorca, with one destination: Sant Antoni de Portmany in Ibiza.
Recently the Conseller in Baleares de Modelo Económico, Turismo y Trabajo, Iago Negueruela, and the director of Turespaña, Miguel Sanz, declared their intention to recover the tourist activity for the month of March 2021, so the Organization is confident that the race can be held on the scheduled dates of Easter: from 1 to 4 April.
