Sail GP confirms Cadiz as its headquarters will compete in Spain for the first time

The Sail GP International Circuit will play the first Grand Prix of Spain and will premiere the new French headquarters as part of a very extensive season
An event relevant to the Spanish sailing in the national reference sports newspaper MARCA... the international class of the flying catamarans Sail GP, has announced at the Madrid headquarters of MARCA this Friday its landing in Spain for the first time. The test will be held on 9 and 10 October 2021 in the city of Cadiz and will be the golden brooch at the European time of the Sail GP Circuit.
The Andalusian city and Saint-Tropez, host of prestigious sailing competitions, are the new headquarters for the second season of SailGP, which had to be cancelled by the pandemic after the first trial in Sidney, which it does not compute, and in which the Spanish team debuted leaving very good sensations.
The new season will have nine events, seven of which have already been announced: Hamilton (Bermuda, 24 and 25 April), Taranto (Italy, 5 and 6 June), Plymouth (Great Britain, 17 and 18 July), Aarhus (Denmark, 20 and 21 August), Saint Tropez (France, 11 and 12 September), Cadiz (9 and 10 October), and the Grand Final in San Francisco in 2022... in January, the two missing... Barcelona, Ibiza, Lanzarote and Valencia were the other candidates for the next two years of SailGP.
The Port of Cadiz Pier will serve as a technical area and there, in the very center of the city, the Paddock of SailGP will be installed, with the boxes of the eight rival teams - Australia, Denmark, Spain, the United States, France, Japan, New Zealand and the United Kingdom, and the other technical infrastructures... At the west end of the city, at the Mirador de Santa Bárbara and the Baluarte de la Candelaria, the Race Village and Adrenaline Lounge will be located from where you can follow the races a few meters from the wall.
