Rodman bounces the new Rodman 138: 43 m long patrol for the State Tax Administration Agency

Rodman faces a new challenge by building the highest-length high-end patrol in Reinforced Polyester with Glass Fiber, which has been built in Europe and probably worldwide, so far. Rodman is currently building two high-rise patrols, the Rodman 138 that has been launched today and the new Rodman 130 for the Galicia Xunta Coast Guard Service.

Both contracts consolidate the experience, know-how and knowledge of Rodman in the design and construction of high performance patrols, which has allowed him to enter a new segment of ships up to 45 m long built in PRFV.

With 43 meters of total length, this new patrol model has been developed by Rodman's design, development and engineering equipment, combining perfectly high performance, reliability, construction quality and navigation features.

The vessel is a maritime and customs surveillance vessel, built to carry out patrol tasks in the territorial sea, adjacent area and international waters. Especially designed for the implementation of smuggling suppression, interception, registration, physical presence and monitoring of compliance with national and international laws.

The Rodman 138 patrol, will be one of the largest ships built worldwide in Reinforced Polyester with Glass Fiber. It has been equipped with a new system of stabilizers that will reduce the balance and header of the ship in both rest and navigation, as well as improve its performance, fuel saving and safer operation under extreme conditions.

The propulsion is made up of two 4-time, 1,500 Kw power diesel engines each.

The Rodman 138 has been designed for a crew of 18 people, who will stay in 8 independent cabins. It also includes other rooms and enabling areas, as well as a security zone. With an autonomy of 2,000 miles, you can stay long on the high seas, which will be an operational and effective advantage.

This new model has been developed taking into account each requirement specified by the customer in addition to the different technical and construction quality requirements of the Rodman standard, optimizing the safety and comfort of the crew and people on board... the boat will already remain in the water until its completion and delivery to the shipowner in the first quarter of 2021.
