Paco Coro after his re-election as president of the Andaluza wager for continuity

Francisco Coro Izquierdo, Jerezano, a lover and an amateur of the sailing sport, was president of AECIO for 12 years, National Secretary of the Optimist class and president of IODA Spain. He is a technician in Tourism and Advertising and currently runs two hotels in Jerez. On October 15, 2016 Coro was elected for the first time President of the Federation
Francisco Coro was re-elected on November 28 as president of the Andalusian Vela Federation by an absolute majority of the members of the General Assembly of the top management body of the FAV, by achieving 36 votes out of the 59 possible... this is the interview that publishes the Andalusian website, in which Paco Coro is proud of the work he has done, and he states that it is what has motivated him to repeat another four years, as elected from the federal chair.
First, how do you feel after being re-elected?
I am very satisfied, there was a much higher attendance than we expected - it refers to the Assembly Coro -, to come to the re-election was a decision that should not be made lightly because the FAV is a great organization and is much the responsibility, but on this ship I have the best crew and that the staff themselves to one voice and the whole world of the Andalusian candle, and part of the national, would encourage me to follow is certainly my best palmaris... so that I could not deny myself.
Did you expect the majority and, above all, no one to vote against it?
Most of them do, but no vote against, abstention or blank, did not expect me and that has been a massive one between attendees, telematics and mail. I'm very happy.
How do you face this new legislature? I guess more sure than the first time, huh?
Well, yes, it is true the saying that "veteran is a degree," although you all know that I have been in this for many years. Even so, I face it much safer and with much more knowledge of the FAV and everything else. Let's just say I already have a Master in Sailing.
You think you've contributed something to the Andalusian Sail and your work is not over and hence your candidacy?
I believe that I have brought management and union, good relations, transparency, if we bring the economic together, all that these five things bring a lot to my view of the whole Andalusian candle. They are the main axis of any organization and everyone benefits from it. Leaving this job sealed is the reason to renew my candidacy.
These months are not being easy since the pandemic appeared in our lives. What do you think has been the hardest thing for the day to day of our sport? What has the Federation contributed?
The hardest thing has certainly been that our athletes could not sail and that the clubs stopped all their activities, together with the concern not to know what is going to happen day by day.
The federation has contributed a lot of work without looking at schedules to keep our associates and federations as informed as possible, resulting in trying to give them some tranquility and help. In fact, I think that as President I have issued 22 official communiqués, not to mention those issued by the technicians and the attention of all doubts by telephone and the Internet.
Looking ahead, what are your plans and objectives?
The pandemic has partly slowed us down the growth we were carrying, the goal will be to recover what was lost and to continue to advance and improve the deal with clubs, federations and to find the best ways for our athletes in general. Always looking for one more step. My intention is to leave a better future for the FAV and all the Andalusian candle from this continuation until I'm done.
What is your opinion about the management of the Sailing at the national level? Is the Spanish one an ally?
Unfortunately, the national candle is a roller coaster that depends a lot on the team that manages it at the time, I think this will change shortly and some good managers will return, we have a grilled and gassed team, the same always and only changes the president and the board of directors, unless there is a remodeling of the staff, which is usually very low.
In Spanish everything changes continuously, there are many jealousy and misgivings, too much politics. We will bring our little grain of sand in what we can for the future so that our national candle will also grow always up. We all care that the Spanish works well. Since I am president, the Spanish is an ally and I will continue to work to keep it that way. Just that he's an ally is and must be the natural.
Are you happy with the work being done in the Andalusian Federation of Vela and the management of its resources with respect to other territories?
I can say, if we're not the best, we're one of the first, that's for sure and on some aspects we're way ahead. Our work is and will be to improve even more without stepping on anyone, of course, only with work and good management.
Finally, a desire for this new adventure.
The first, that the pandemic ends, the suffering of so many people and that our athletes and clubs can function completely normally as we do. And second, to have the fortune that things continue to work out as well as in the last four years, because so we will all move forward. I'm sure we're gonna get it because I have the best team you can want and they always make it very easy for me with your work.
This president as far as the FAV is concerned, he sleeps quietly and the wish is to continue to do so.
