This classic and massive sailing date, this suspended season, always closes the calendar of the Real Abra Maritime Club - Real Sporting Club

Next Saturday, if we were not in the middle of the pandemic, one of the most expected sailing tests of each season would be held: that of the spectacular and so photographed image on the Bizkaia Bridge... but it cannot be.

The traditional Regata del Gallo, organized by the Real Club Marítimo del Abra-Real Sporting Club... so we will have to wait to observe the wonderful picture that generate about 80 cruises sailing under the Pendant Bridge, with its color candles deployed to the wind, and portrayed by hundreds of fans and walkers that are placed each year on both sides of the Ria.

The incredible 'platoon' of ships of the cruise classes and monotypes J80 that sails from the dársena of the Benedicta of Sestao to cross the emblematic bridge, and then take a course to the Abra, awaits its celebration by the next year 2021 if everything is better... the tradition of the Regata del Gallo is stranded... waiting for more favorable winds.
