In the end of last year of 2019, the Galega Federation of Motonautics began the efforts with the House of the King, to request the title of Real, based on the course of this Federation in the organization of national and international events of outstanding importance, as well as for the merits of the Galician athletes achieved with their successes in European and intercontinental competitions.

But, without a doubt, the letters issued by the Xeral Secretariat for or Sport of the Xunta of Galicia and the Royal Spanish Federation of Motonautics, as well as the intermediation of the High Council of Sports itself, were key elements in this whole process that, after a long period of efforts due mainly to the containment of the pandemic, gave its fruit...

The King confirmed the award of the title of REAL to the Galega Federation of Motononautics, awarded El Rey Don Felipe VI in document submitted to José Fernández Prado, president of the now Royal Galega Federation of Motononautics.

Galicia, as it could not be otherwise, is being an example of maturity, solidarity, prudence and respect for existing legislation, democratically adopted by a very important majority of Galician citizens, as well as the rest of Spain in 1978. In these complicated moments, the fact that Galician sport is in the right place is an example to follow... in recent times clubs such as the Rodeira Nautical Club or the Portosin Nautical Club achieved the title of "real..." in terms of federations... first was that of Football, after that of Vela... (both of the most important in the Spanish State) and now that of Motonautics. From this portal of the sea, we very much congratulate all these initiatives, and we support this support for our Constitutional Monarchy, which has given Spain... more than 40 years, for the moment.
